Five Bad Habits

Five bad habits taking barakah away from you

1. Abandoning salah

   • No salah = no barakah in life, wealth or time.

   • The Prophet ﷺ said: “Between a man and shirk and kufr is abandoning prayer.”

(Sahih Muslim, 82)

2. Disrespecting parents

   • Serving parents brings barakah, while neglect removes it.

   • ALLAH says: “Do not say to them even ‘uff,’ and do not repel them but speak to them noble words.”

(Qur’an 17:23)

3. Cutting family ties

   • Breaking ties reduces rizq and blessings.

   • The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever would like his provision to be increased and his life to be extended, let him uphold family ties.”

(Sahih Bukhari & Muslim)

4. Engaging in harām income (riba, fraud, dishonesty)

   • harām money wipes out barakah no matter the amount.

   • ALLAH says: “ALLAH destroys riba and gives increase to charity.”

(Qur’an 2:276)

5. Constant sin without repentance

   • Persisting in sin darkens the heart and removes blessings.

   • The Prophet ﷺ said: “A man is deprived of provision because of sins he commits.”

(Ibn Majah, 4022)
