Dua When You Feel Hurt by Someone’s Words
Sometimes it’s not big events that break you — it’s a sentence, a tone, a comment that stays in your heart longer than it should.
When people’s words become heavy, the Prophet ﷺ taught us a dua that protects our heart and places our trust back in Allah.
Arabic:
اللّٰهُمَّ اكْفِنِيهِمْ بِمَا شِئْتَ
Transliteration:
Allahummakfinīhim bimā shi’ta.
Translation:
“O Allah, protect me from them in whatever way You will.”
Reference:
Sahih al-Bukhari
Reflection:
This dua is not about harm — it’s about release.
It hands over the pain to Allah:
“Ya Allah, You know what they said, You know how it affected me.
Handle it for me in the way that is best.”
It brings instant calm because your heart is no longer carrying the burden alone.
